Highway 76 Traffic Reduces to One Lane to Underground Utilities March 27-31

Branson, MO (March 24, 2017) – Beginning Monday, March 27, the City of Branson will reduce traffic to one lane during daylight hours on West Highway 76 between the Branson Ferris Wheel and Ripley’s ‘Believe It or Not’ attractions. As part of the 76 Revitalization Program, this traffic reduction will allow construction crews to install underground utilities across Hwy 76 through Friday, March 31, weather permitting.

Flagmen will be positioned at the east and west side of the construction zone in the 3300 block of Highway 76 to safely direct traffic through the one-lane work zone. This work will take place during daylight hours, reopening to two lanes at night. All entrances to businesses in the construction zone will be open and accessible at all hours.

As a reminder, please be aware of construction workers along Highway 76, and be mindful of laws pertaining to use of the center lane throughout the entire corridor. The City of Branson allows use of the center lane for making a left turn only, and motorists are allowed to use this lane no more than 500 feet before a left turn is made. Violators will be ticketed and fined if found driving in the center lane or exceeding the 500-foot left-turn allowance.
