City rolls out new Document Center website feature

BransonLogo_City Of

BRANSON, Mo – The City of Branson has created a new section of its website, the Document Center, designed to help residents and community members more easily find important information regarding City Ordinances and Resolutions.

The City received a grant from the State of Missouri’s Local Records Grant Program for the purchase of a web portal that allows all City Ordinances and Resolutions to be faced out for the public to access. These documents are scanned with Optical Character Recognition (OCR), making them vastly searchable.

This new Document Center consists of a searchable tool allowing users to type in key words that search the City Ordinances and Resolutions from the first ordinance in 1913 to current. This means anyone can now find contract approvals and budget and code amendments right on our website. While this information has always been available through the records request process, it can now be readily found through the new Document Center.

“We are always looking at ways to increase transparency and make it easier for our residents and community to find information. We are excited about this new feature and hope our residents enjoy having easy access to these documents,” said Acting Branson City Administrator and City Clerk, Lisa Westfall.

The new Document Center is live now and can be found under the Government tab on the city’s website, BransonMo.Gov. It can also be accessed through the Board of Aldermen and City Clerk pages or under Quick Links.
