The Branson Parks & Recreation Department is excited to join the fast-growing international phenomenon of esports this winter, a series of competitive live video game tournaments that area residents can compete in for prize money.
The Branson Parks & Recreation Department will offer two esports tournaments:
- Madden -- 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6
- Fortnite -- 12:00 - 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 15
These esports tournaments are open to gamers who are 8-years old and above. Each tournament costs $10 to join.
The Madden tournament takes place the Saturday before the Super Bowl and will have separate divisions for Xbox and PlayStation users, with a separate winner for each division. The Fortnite tournament will take place on President’s Day and is available on all gaming platforms. The Parks Department utilizes Discord to communicate and post brackets. Winners of either tournament will receive a $50 gift card!
