In light of the recent COVID-19 health concerns, the City of Branson is working to eliminate the need for our citizens to have to come into City Hall to pay water bills, taxes, or to renew licenses.
Utility Payments and Billing
Payment processing and billing for City water and Sewer will continue as normal. Please either mail payments or utilize the drop box located on the south side of City Hall near the Police Department entrance. Please follow these payment instructions for the drop box:
- Do not place cash payments in the drop box, only pay by check or money order;
- Please place payment stub and payment in a sealed envelope.
You may also pay your utilities on the city’s website at bransonmo.gov or call (417) 337-8529. If making payment by phone, please be patient as we may experience reduced staffing.
Business & Liquor Licensing and Tourism Tax Payments
The City of Branson’s Finance Department is now encouraging all businesses to submit their renewal applications electronically to businesslicense@bransonmo.gov. Businesses will be contacted for credit card payment by phone as staff becomes available. Please be patient as staff numbers may be reduced at times due to COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Please indicate if your business is unable to pay by credit card when submitting renewal paperwork. Check payments may be dropped off at City Hall, located at 110 W Maddux St, utilizing the utility drop box on the south side of City Hall near the Police Department entrance. If you are dropping off any payments, please keep the following in mind:
- Please do not place cash payments in the drop box, only check or money order;
- Please place any paperwork or checks in envelopes;
- If dropping a check only, after submitting renewal paperwork electronically, please make sure you write the business name – the DBA and not the LLC or corporation name – on the exterior of the envelope.
For liquor license renewals, online training is available for employees through the State of Missouri Alcohol Responsible Training (SMART) – an on-line class coordinated by the University of Missouri. This class is provided at no cost and is available any time after the employer registers the business on their website, http://pip.missouri.edu/SMART/ or by calling 573-882-9335. Employees must pass the test to get credit as having taken the class.
The tourism tax payments may still be submitted by mail, drop box, or by email. If you wish to pay with a credit card, please be advised a convenience fee will be charged based on the amount of the tax payment. Businesses must still submit a report even if you had no sales during the tax period.
