Appointed to the Board of Aldermen in August 2020, Julia King is a Project Manager in the Healthcare Information Technology Industry. King is originally from Kansas and moved to the Branson area in 2018. She graduated from Piper High School (KS) and attended Baker University (KS) receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2006 and a Master’s Degree in Business in 2012. She received her Project Management Certificate from the Project Management Institute while serving Healthcare Organizations across the nation.
Alderman King has been a Project Manager responsible for the overall direction and implementation of Healthcare IT projects while working for Cerner Corporation from 2007 to 2015 and continues being a Project Manager for Healthcare Performance Group since 2015.
She has served on the Project Management Institute Board of Directors since 2018, serving as Board President and Past President. She has served on the Pointe Royale Property Owners Association Board of Directors since 2019, serving as a Board Officer. She was recognized as one of Baker University’s Women of Strength in 2007, received the Baker University Milan Harris award in 2005 for promoting diversity, and the Pi Kappa Delta Superior award for public speaking.
Alderman King and her husband, Kevin Wheat, have a Chiweenie, Luna.
