The City of Branson created its own Sustainability Council in 2010, with representatives from every department appointed by their Director. The Sustainability Council is chaired by City Administrator Dean Kruithof and actively promotes sustainability within its organization through the innovative ideas of all employees.
In addition, the city is in the process of doing a self-assessment for Ozarks GreenScore. This should be completed by summer 2012.![]()
Branson also provides recognition for businesses and individuals who display initiative in recycling, conservation or sustainability.
