MIssouri Native Plants

Missouri native plants are key in preserving our natural plant community. The City of Branson recognizes the importance of utilizing our local flora to support our native pollinator and wildlife habitat, reduce storm water runoff and help decrease landscape maintenance. According to the Community Plan 2030, Branson is committed to a sustainable future and is ready to move the community to its desired vision.

Below are some of the native plants installed at the entrance of City Hall, near the lower level Police Station entrance and across the street in the flower bed west of the post office. Many, if not all of the species listed, provide food, shelter and shade for our local fauna. Simply click on each common name to be directed to the Missouri Botanical Garden website for individual plant specifications.
